Baalzebub is the third miniboss of Anchordeep.
Description[]
Baalzebub is an orange cuttlefish with many tree branches sticking out of its head, similar to Leshy's eldritch form. In between the two uppermost branches are a few red strings tied into the shape of a pentagram. Its 3 eyes appear to be sunken in, shrouded by orange leaves, leaving only red dots surrounded by black.
As a follower, its branches are much shorter, it has 2 eyes instead of 3, and the pentagram is black instead of red.
Combat[]
Baalzebub's attacks include shooting clumps of bullets, which explode into 4 bullets that shoot out in the upper left, upper right, lower left, and lower right respectively; as well as shooting waves of 4 bullets at a time.
It is highly recommended to use curses for this bossfight (especially Hounds of Fate), as they can deal massive damage, and, if you do it right, you can kill the boss almost instantly by spamming the curse button.
Trivia[]
- The name "Baalzebub" (with other variant spellings) comes from the Book of Kings in the Hebrew Bible, derived from the name of a Philistine god referred to by Baeel-zəbûb, literally translating to "Lord of the Flies". He is also referred to in the Bible and other ancient Abrahamic texts as the "Prince of Demons", an alternate title for Satan, or as a separate demon subordinate to Satan.
