The Burrowing Spike Worm is a Darkwood enemy.
Appearance[]
The Burrowing Spike Worm's main body is bush-like, with branch-like horns sticking out of it. It has a large mouth with six teeth and the mouth of the creature is leaking a black liquid with red bubbles within it. The body of the creature is covered in orange scales in the middle of its body, red scales at the top of its body and yellow scales at the bottom of its body and at the bottom and middle of its body are sharp wooden protrusions.

Behavior[]
When it is unaware of the presence of the player, it will stand stationary until it is aware of the player.
When it is aware of the player, it will stand immobile for a while, and then burrow in a random direction. When the Burrowing Spike Worm is underground, it will leave a trail of damaging spikes until it emerges at a new location. This repeats until the Burrowing Spike Worm is slain.
