Cult of the Lamb Wiki

The Cooking Fire is a building in Cult of the Lamb.

Description[]

It is used for preparing meals from raw ingredients that the followers can eat to replenish their Hunger meters. Cooking a meal prompts a minigame in which the player must click when the crosshair is within the green area or a burnt meal will be cooked instead if the crosshair is inside of the red area.

Strategy[]

  • Prior to building the cooking pot for the first time, hunger and time are frozen for the player. Players can use this opportunity to harvest as much berries, lumber, and stone present in the village as they'd like.

Trivia[]

  • The Cooking Fire is one of the few buildings that were programmed to be solid and therefore not allow anything to pass through it, specifically the furnace part of the structure.
  • On the Steam page of Cult of the Lamb, a follower can be seen with a chef's hat using the Cooking Fire, which is not possible in the game, though this may be a look into an earlier build of the game and this may have inspired the Kitchen in the final game.
  • If the player is quick enough, they can cook a burnt meal and have a follower eat it. If the follower eats the burnt meal, they will don an expression that indicates that they are hot or that it is hot food.
