Devotion is a resource generated by Followers, used to gain divine inspiration and unlock additional buildings in the cult camp, as well as improve it to higher levels. Devotion is focused on the management aspect of the game and helps automate certain parts of it, such as farming.
Upon unlocking all buildings, any divine inspiration obtained will be converted into a God Tear.
Before the Relics of the Old Faith update, all devotion was converted into coins after unlocking all divine inspiration upgrades.

- Praying followers generate devotion. Upgrade the Shrine to allow for more followers to pray and increase their capacity. The Flame Shrine upgrade also greatly increases prayer speed when provided with fuel (
Grass or Lumber).

- Tabernacles allow for collecting devotion from cultists working in the fields without being tasked to worship.
- Grand Shelters collect devotion as followers sleep.
- Body Pits/Graves can generate devotion with Funeral ritual.
- Devotion Harvest Totem generate up to 3 devotion gradually.
- A Follower when leveled up will give 20 Devotion
- The shrine at Lonely Shack also collects up to 15 points of devotion.
- Once Lumber is provided, the lighthouse cult at Pilgrim's Passage will also provide up to 15 points of devotion.
- Once Seeking Sozo is complete, Sozo can also colloect up to 15 points of devotion, including after he dies.
- Plimbo will provide up to 15 points of devotion after being given 4 eyes of the witness.
- You can buy devotion from Midas's Cave.
- Zealous weapons make it so that fervour acts like devotion as well.
- Finally, the bishops' shrines contain devotion that can be stolen.
- Plants fertilized by Devotion Fertilizer generates passive Devotion after they are fully grown.
