Farming

Farming is a way to grow crops in Cult of the Lamb.

Crops can be grown in farm plots. Crops can be used for food, medicine, brainwashing ritual , and clothes

Strategy

The Farm Plot is the best tool for long term food issues. However, to make it so and avoid having to deal with the tedious gathering, you need Farmer Station II, which causes followers to not just automatically water crops, but also harvest them. The ideal arrangement is with the Station at the center and two layers of farm plots around it, which results in all plots being covered by Followers assigned to gathering them. Additionally, Seed Silos, and Fertiliser Silos allow the reseeding of Farm Plots and Fertilization, respectively, provided these buildings are kept supplied by the player.

While Scarecrows are effective in keeping away birds they require a level 2 cult to unlock. This can be worked around by putting crop tiles around a Mine, Lumber Mill, or other locations which Followers frequently spend time at.

Fertilizers

Fertilizer can also be added once per plant, resulting in a bigger harvest (4-7 crops). There are specific fertilizers included that affects the plant growth as well:

• Glowing Fertiliser constantly attracts Fireflies during the night after its fully grown, allowing easy catching for Devotion for as long as the plant remains present.
• Golden Fertiliser generates 3-5 Gold Bars after being harvested.
• Rainbow Fertiliser instantly grow the plant to full.
• Devoted Fertiliser constantly generates Devotion after its fully grown for as long as the plant remains present.
