Follower forms

You can change form of your Follower upon indoctrinating or reindoctrinating.

Follower Forms are the skins that alter the appearance of your cult members. These forms, purely cosmetic in nature, can be unlocked or acquired through various means. Each Follower Form presents a distinct visual style, ranging from normal animals such as cats or foxes (both cats and foxes are tied for being the most common form), to rarer creatures such as axolotls or narwhals. A few skins are even mystical creatures, such as the unicorn or demon skin.

Unlocking

There are various ways to collect Follower Forms in the game. The various ways to collect Follower Forms are outlined below:

• Chests in dungeons have a chance of dropping Follower Forms. The forms dropped will depend on the Biome of the dungeon (i.e. Darkwood, Anura, Anchordeep or Silk Cradle)
• When recruiting a new follower with a Form that has not been unlocked, the Follower Form in question will be unlocked and added to your collection.
• Each Miniboss and Witness will unlock a new Follower Form when defeated for the first time.
• You will find a Form Booth in each area that is not the Cult of the Lamb HQ which sells Follower Forms. The booth in each area can only provide Follower Forms from a specific biome:
  • Pilgrim's Passage Form Booth: Sells Darkwood Follower Forms for 10 Coins each.
  • Spore Grotto Form Booth: Sells Anura Follower Forms for 20 Coins each.
  • Smuggler's Sanctuary Form Booth: Sells Anchordeep Follower Forms for 30 Coins each.
  • Midas' Cave Form Booth: Sells Silk Cradle Follower Forms for 40 Coins each.
• Some forms are only available by playing during Seasonal Events.
• Some forms require completing specific tasks or are hidden in certain locations.

Poop	Prepare the maximum amount of Bowl of Poop at the same time (12), and it will spawn alongside a circle of Fertilizer.
Axolotl	Talk to the Lighthouse Keeper in Pilgrim's Passage. Fix the lighthouse with 15 lumber. Fix the lighthouse further with 25 Crystal Shards.
Crab	Go to Smuggler's Sanctuary. On the dock, find and catch a running crab and be rewarded with the Crab follower form.
Marlin	Can be caught while fishing at Pilgrim's Passage.
Monster	Find Rakshasa while on a crusade. Hit his love (the giant snail) until Rakshasa becomes enraged and fights you. Defeat Rakshasa to get the Massive Monster Statue blueprint. Build the statue. Worship the statue at night to get the Monster follower form.			Image Unavailable
Spider (Webber)	Capture spiders during the night at the campsite and Webber's Skull may drop. Bury the skull in a Body Pit or Grave to spawn Webber and some spiders.
Koala	Trade God Tears with ???.

Lemur	Hatch golden eggs. If the baby hatched has this form, its permanently unlocked for this game, but will not be notified.

Snake	Find and collect 10 Ancient Tablets. You will receive this follower form as a reward.
Worm	Find Berith's shop on the crusade map. Destroy everything you can, the follower form will appear randomly.
Mushroomo	Return Sozo back to his original self as Dr. Sozonius. Any followers rescued during his quest will get eaten by him after being indoctrinated until he is reverted.

Leshy	This form is exclusive to Leshy. Obtained upon defeating him again after defeating The One Who Waits. Completing his Old Wounds quest permanently transforms his form into an alternate variation.
Heket	This form is exclusive to Heket. Obtained upon defeating her again after defeating The One Who Waits. Completing her Old Wounds quest permanently transforms her form into an alternate variation.
Kallamar	This form is exclusive to Kallamar. Obtained upon defeating him again after defeating The One Who Waits. Completing his Old Wounds quest permanently transforms his form into an alternate variation.
Shamura	This form is exclusive to Shamura. Obtained upon defeating them again after defeating The One Who Waits. Completing their Old Wounds quest permanently transforms their form into an alternate variation.
Baal	This form is exclusive to Baal. Obtained upon sacrificing a follower wearing the Light Necklace after defeating The One Who Waits. Will become unavailable after being reunited with Forneus.
Aym	This form is exclusive to Aym. Obtained upon sacrificing a follower wearing the Dark Necklace after defeating The One Who Waits. Will become unavailable after being reunited with Forneus.
Sozo	This form is exclusive to Sozo. Obtained upon growing the mushroom plucked from Sozo's head after his death on a Farm Plot and giving him 5 Menticide Mushroom. Mutually exclusive to Dr. Sozonius form, and disappears after he is reverted.
Dr. Sozonius	This form is exclusive to Sozo. Obtained upon growing the mushroom plucked from Sozo's head after his death on a Farm Plot and re-educating him in Prison (after refusing to give him Menticide Mushroom). Mutually exclusive to Sozo form.
Jalala	Exclusive to Pilgrim Pack, they can be found trapped in Silk Cradle after getting a quest from Yarlen. Deal with the heretics and they can be rescued both at the same time.
Rinor	Exclusive to Pilgrim Pack, they can be found trapped in Silk Cradle after getting a quest from Yarlen. Deal with the heretics and they can be rescued both at the same time.

Trivia

• When obtaining a follower (through Helob or crusades), if the follower in question has the giraffe skin, there is a chance for it to have the name "Sparkles". This is a reference to the game "The Adventure Pals", a game created by Massive Monster, the developers of Cult of the Lamb.
• All four types of dog followers (Dog, Schnauzer, Frankerz, and Ralpherz) have an additional action of "Pet Dog" which is similar to the Pettable trait, which will slightly increase Loyalty.
• If you butcher a mushroom follower or Sozo (and Dr Sozonius as well), you will get Menticide Mushrooms instead of Follower Meat.
  • This is the only occurrence in which a follower form can directly impact gameplay rather than being purely cosmetic.
• While most follower forms' appearances only significantly affect the the shape of the head, there are some exceptions.
  • Narinder has three eyes, one of which is always closed, and his eyes are angry by default
  • Leshy and Poggers do not have mouth sprites. Leshy has eye sprites rendered, but not visible behind his bandage. In the Unholy Alliance update the triangle in his bandage now changes for different expressions (Ex: A heart instead of the normal happy eyes)
  • Webber has unique fanged mouth sprites.
  • Volvy's dominant arm is very large while his other arm is very small to reflect his "big hand for gaming".
  • Sozo's eyes take on a brainwashed appearance after indoctrination, similar to that of a follower under the influence of Menticide Mushroom.
• The Volvy form is unique in that it was originally created not for the game, but for the Devolver Digital Summer 2023 presentation as part of the narrative that the company had a long-forgotten iconic mascot. It is also the only form that does not have alternate color options (barring a glitch with the randomizer).
• Jalala and Rinor's forms are the only forms that are both unique and DLC-exclusive.
• The Poop follower poops out a poop pet.
