The Jumper Worm is a Darkwood enemy and it is essentially a stronger Chaser Worm.

Appearance[]

The body of the Jumper Worm is made up of four bush-like body segments. Each segment from head to tail is red, orange, yellow, and yellow-olive respectively. The Jumper Worm has short, straight branch-like horns on its head, and four slanted, red, glowing irises and black sclera. The symbol on its brow is similar to a combination of an Evil Eye, the symbol for Mars and the symbol for Venus.

When unaware of the player, a Jumper Worm will slowly pace back and forth, on either a straight horizontal or vertical path.

When it detects the player, it will usually open with immediately attempting to jump onto the player. After this, it will continue to chase the player, outpacing the Chaser Worm in travel speed. It will usually jump to the player only when it is in a certain distance of the player. When a Jumper Worm lands from a jump, it will create a small area-of-effect that deals damage if the player is too close to it upon its landing.
