The Kitchen is a building in Cult of the Lamb and it allows the Lamb to have their followers cook food automatically.
Description[]
"Allows Followers to cook meals for their fellow Cult members" - In-Game Description text.
Like the Cooking Fire, the Kitchen is one of the ways to practice Cooking in the game. Up to 30 meals can be queued in a single kitchen, and unlike the Cooking Fire it is possible to build multiple kitchens. Selecting meals will add them to the queue and remove the ingredients from the inventory of the Lamb, at which point a follower assigned to the Kitchen will go and begin preparing meals, which the followers will then start to eat as needed, replenishing Hunger.
Strategy[]
- When making multiple meals in order to feed the Cult, say, before leaving for a crusade, it is better to use a Kitchen than the Cooking Fire, as the food is less likely to spoil, more food can be prepared in advance, and the followers can prepare it as needed.
- The Kitchen is expensive and is more useful for higher level cults with longer crusades.
Trivia[]
- Like the Cooking Fire, it also has collision built in, though this may be a remnant of the code of the Cooking Fire.
- The Kitchen may also have been inspired by older builds of the game, as seen on the Steam page with footage of a follower using the Cooking Fire, though it never happens in the final game.
