In my silk, I snared a Crown... to their faith, irrevocably bound...

— Shamura to the Lamb, regarding how they found the Purple Crown

Description[]

The Purple Crown curves upwards to a point at either end to give it a distinct, horned shape. The eye on the Crown is a purple crescent with a central, short, vertical line serving as the pupil. It's reminiscent to a cat's slit pupil, And all other Crowns also have slit pupils.

Story[]

Shamura is the first and last known wearer of the Purple Crown. They reign over Silk Cradle and are the Bishop of War. The Purple Crown ties in with the motifs surrounding Shamura as it symbolizes mystery, wisdom and regality.

As with the other crowns it is unclear whether the Purple Crown is sentient or not. It is clear, however, that the Purple Crown is an immense source of power and the reason Shamura was able to ascend to godhood and become the oldest of the Bishops.

The Purple Crown, much like the Yellow Crown, Blue Crown and Green Crown but unlike the Red Crown, is not seen transforming into weapons or tools in order to aid Shamura in any way. Notably, the Purple Crown seems to help Shamura compensate for their head injury and can be seen as fused with their exposed brain at times. This is further supported by the decline of their metal state once the crown is no longer worn by them when they become a Follower.

Shamura mentions to the Lamb that they caught the Purple Crown within their web. How or when this happens is unclear, although it must have been more than thousands of years prior to the time of the game's events.
