Rituals. Followers will give you 
Coin from doing this ritual, lose 20 Faith. The amount of Coins is the sum of Followers' levels times 20.
Strategy[]
Pretty much instantly makes money a non-issue for the rest of the game. Especially useful once refining coin into Gold Bars becomes necessary.
Combined with the Bribe Follower action it provides something of an investment strategy, paying followers a few coins to speed up their Loyalty gains so they will pay you back even more when the ritual is performed.
There is a also a hard cap of how much money you can make per follower as the animation for the ritual will be cut off. The hard cap of earning per follower is roughly 978 coins. That would be roughly be around follower level 49.
