Ritual of Resurrection is a Ritual in Cult of the Lamb.

Description[]

Allows you to bring back 1 dead follower to life. -10 Faith.

Resurrected Followers keep their age, revert to being young, and live for the same amount of time as a new Follower. All other aspects (except for dissenting or illness) will carry over from the time of their death. But resurrecting dead followers can corrupt them with either "Cursed" or "Catatonic" trait.

If the resurrected follower was buried in a Body Pit/Grave, the Body Pit/Grave would become empty after the resurrection ritual. Similarly, if they were burned in the Crypt, or their body has yet to be retrieved at Morgue, they will disappear from the list.

This ritual can bring back any dead Followers, except for the ones that were:

  • Sacrificed to the Fox in his quests.
  • Sacrificed to the statue machine at Midas's Cave.
  • Sacrificed to the dungeon doors.
  • Turned into the demon Hathor and given to Ratoo.
  • Dissenters and Damned Followers that left the Cult (since they're not dead).
  • Followers sacrificed to re-open location doors in the postgame.
  • Sacrificed with the ritual Sacrifice of the Flesh whilst wearing Light or Dark Necklace.
  • (For Baal and Aym) Turned into their demon and given to Forneus (since they're technically returned and not dead.)

(Note that you will be warned about these sacrifices not being resurrectable when you attempt to use them.)
