The First Gods are the creators of the Lands of the Old Faith, and the last of them is the creator of the three feathered beasts.

Description[]

In this world there were the First Gods and the First Gods shaped the Lands of the Old Faith and they made it what they wanted it to be and seperated it from the rest of the world. They molded the mountains, they created the rivers and all of that, because in this world the land is responsive to the beings that hold power in it, and so when the First Gods disappeared, they had all these tools and they had all these powers, they had crowns and they had weapons, and they had all these things that they wanted to pass onwards to the Gods that came next, and so they hatched Clauneck, Kudaai, and Chemach, beneath their bosom they say in the game, to carry on these tools but to keep them free of corruption in keeping them themselves they made their natures neutral, and they can't seek power and they can't claim it for themselves and obviously that hasn't worked out for all three of them, one of them has had a tough time with that, but otherwise by the very nature of their beings they incite no devotion.

Long ago, the lands of the old faith were not ruled by four bishops, but instead by hundreds of gods. The First Gods were once well known, and revered, it is unknown what happened to the First Gods, but all that remained of them was their weapons, their tears, and their ichor. Even Haro does not know what happened to them. Only one skull of such a God can be found in Spore Grotto, where the Mushroomos would later be born.

Hatched under the First Gods, and coming from the last of these, the feathered ones Clauneck, Kudaai, and Chemach are the keepers of Godly Tools, one of fate, one of weapons and curses, and one of crowns. By their nature, they never seek godly power. However, Chemach eventually went mad and mutated, not to the surprise of her siblings, as Clauneck foresaw her descent into madness.

Appearance[]

The First God of Spore Grotto[]

The First God of Spore Grotto has a three-fingered hand, and their knees and part of their left shoulder are visible. Their skull is semi-oval-rectangular in shape, with two fangs at the bottom and a row of eight in the jaw. There is also what appears to be a Crown-like structure on their skull, shaped like a trapezoid with two horns and a rhomboid-shaped indentation. A crack runs across half of their skull.

The Last of the First Gods[]

The exact appearance of this First God is unknown, but it must have been a being similar to the three guardian beasts, a kind of feathered creature, and possibly of a similar or the same species as ducks, like its creations.

Trivia[]

  • The Fanatic seems to be one of the characters who feels a great devotion to The First Gods. And they seem to have knowledge of what they were like, as he recognizes the corpse of one in Spore Grotto.
  • Thanks to a dialogue by Kudaai, it is known that his creator, along with those of his siblings, was the Last of the First Gods.[1]
